The nights are drawing in. The fire has been lit. Skittles has started. Can only mean one thing……… Christmas menu will be out soon!!

It’s been a busy start to the summer here at The Crown Inn.  Accommodation has been going well although we still have a few dates vacant, so this has slowed down the completion of our list of jobs we had planned!!We have managed to complete the arduous task of cleaning the carpets throughout and fitted a new back door to the skittle alley and decorated ready for the return of the skittle teams in a few weeks time. Where has the time gone?!!

It’s been a busy few months at The Crown with the skittle season coming to an end and all the teams from Gillingham, Mere, Shaftesbury and the surrounding area trying to play all their games by the end of season.

Winter is on its way to the Blackmore Vale with flurries of snow reported in Shaftesbury but as yet none in East Stour near Gillingham!! Christmas party bookings coming  in fast so only a few dates left. Accommodation available if you wish to stay.

It’s been a busy few weeks at the Crown East Stour with the skittles season now well under way and a new darts team playing from the pub for the first time in many years.
